Our Review:

AffairsClub is a great dating site geared, rather obviously, to the more discreet side of dating. That's not to say that being in a relationship is a key factor to joining, more that certain elements of stealth are expected. The sleek layout on the front of the site sadly gives way to a disappointingly simple, if functional, inner site. This simpler layout detracts from AffairsClub suave veneer, leaving a pretty average site in its wake.

Profiles are fairly easy; when creating yours you get the usual options of personality, appearance and background questions to answer, and a green light system gives you matching answers with profiles you can view, which is quite useful. If you want to delve deeper, however, there's a lot of scope under the "more topics" section, with some sections giving choices to tick, e.g. for interests, while others have interesting questions. For example under "Dreams & Goals" one question asks what you would do if you won a million dollars, differing from the usual "write something about yourself". The search facility is better than most for basic members, allowing limited choices for matches on profile information as well as age, sex, location, etc. For upgraded members there is also a detailed search option allowing you to check for matches based on any criteria from a profile.

The options for communication on AffairsClub won't blow you away, but all the normal bases are covered. While searching for hot matches, if you find someone you like you can add them to your Hot List for quick access, and then, once you can think of the right words to say, you can either use the built-in messaging system so they get your message next time they log on, or send an email direct to their account. If you can't think of anything to say at the time then you can simply send them a Wink to let your match know you're interested and leave the ball in their court.

At the end of the day AffairsClub is a pretty good site, it doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it still does a decent job. The basic membership gives a surprising amount of content, so you can get a good preview of what the site's all about. A couple of extra ways to communicate would have been nice to see, but not completely necessary. Really, this site is going to be down to personal preference, so if you're looking for that something extra on the side, or you want to be that something extra, then AffairsClub is for you.
