Our Review:

It’s commonly said that we don’t know our neighbors like we used to anymore. Well, MeetLocals.com aims to put that right by hooking you up with anyone in your vicinity who’s game for no-strings fun and games. It’s a really nice looking site but suffers from a low number of members, despite being decently priced.

The first thing to point out here is the lack of members. Whilst an exact figure was not available, to our best estimate profiles ran into the thousands rather than millions. Of these, only a measly 30 were online at the time of this review. To put it bluntly, we've seen more people in a double bed. Members come from all over but most you’ll see are resident in the USA. You’ll find all ages too. If you don’t like things too extreme you can switch the explicit content off.

It’s free to sign up and all you need to be a member is a valid email address. Once registered you’re free to take a look around, create a profile and upload photos and browse limited profiles. It’s quite mean that you don’t get to see profile photos as a free member, and you’ll be plagued with ads so we wouldn't recommend it.

If you stick around you can choose from two levels of upgraded membership. Silver membership offers unlimited email and video IM chat (up to 3 members can participate in video chat). There’s also a 3 month guarantee that if you don’t hook up within that time you get an additional 3 months added to your membership free of charge. Silver members also get access to full profiles, including photos and videos.

If money’s not an issue and you’re really looking to stand out, Gold membership offers everything you get as a Silver member whilst allowing you to send and receive email from free members but it's hardly worth the extra expense.  If you do upgrade then consider taking out a longer term subscription by which you could save a few dollars, or even get 6 months free if you take out Gold memmbership for a year. 

There’s a brief help page that doesn’t really help you all that much beyond the blindingly obvious. It’s therefore good to know that there’s reliable 24/7/365 email support and even telephone support if you take out a Premium membership.

Despite being a perfectly adequate adult dating site, the big letdown with MeetLocals.com is the low number of members. To put it bluntly, there are no locals to meet. While it may be worth checking back in time when the site’s had a chance to grow, for the time being it’s a bit too quiet around here and you’d be better off walking the neighborhood with a placard advertising your spicy intentions.
