Our Review:

Whilst ‘LoveScanner’ sounds like an intriguing technological innovation developed in a laboratory at the Institute of Rude Things, it’s actually just an adult dating site that does things slightly differently in helping you to hook up with others for hot and spicy casual encounters. However, it falls slightly short in its original approach, so for this reason I have to give it the thumbs down.

You’ll find millions of profiles on LoveScanner.com. It’s a ‘meta-site’ in that it allows you to browse members from many different sites, which you can then link to in order to view a profile. Unfortunately, because of the design of the site it’s not possible to tell whether a member is online or not. As you can imagine, you’ll encounter countless profiles, which sounds great as you’re presented with a vast range of potential dates all in one place. In practice it doesn’t really come off. It’s clunky and you soon find multiple windows opening such that you lose track of where you came from. Navigation therefore takes some practice.

It’s not really possible to comment on profiles as these differ depending on the site that a member is registered with. It’s also sometimes irritating that you have to sign up with a specific site in order to view the profile details, which is quite time-consuming. LoveScanner.com does give you a preview profile though, but the information presented is quite limited.

There are a few search options which you’ll inevitably need. The quick search allows you to specify limited criteria (looking for, age range, city/town and country). The advanced search is much more comprehensive and extends the quick search to include physical characteristics, sexual preferences, ethnicity, education and more. However you search, unless you’re really picky you’ll be inundated by profiles. One search feature that we like is the face search, which lets you select a photo and find similar faces. You won’t find a search like this anywhere else.

Lovescanner brings together all the profiles from the following sites; Click&Flirt (+5,000,000 profiles), Girls Date For Free (+350,000), Dating For Parents (+750,000), Date The UK (+3,000,000) and LoopyLove (+1,600,000). It’s easy and completely free to sign up. You just need a valid email address. There’s no need for a profile either as you just sign up with the respective site when you spot somebody you’re interested in. Of course, this could mean having to sign up to all 5 sites, if you have the energy, and money! If you have any technical questions then there’s an email support form with a 24 hour response time, but typically you’ll hear back within a few hours.

LoveScanner.com is a great idea and an innovative addition to the adult dating scene. However, it needs more development and is quite laborious and time consuming. Better to pick a single site as you’ll have more fun.
