This site appears to be largely an entrance for scammers. Although there is an option to report scammers, there seems to be precious little action about them on the part of the operators. And you will pay for everything and I mean everything.
If you join as a free member the site will initially lure you in with emails purporting to be from members. In order to view these emails you need to join. Unfortunately once you join, set up a profile and reply to the emails you will never here back from a genuine person again. Admittedly the response that you receive on any dating site might depend on the profile you establish, but having set up a decent profile with photos, not to have a response back from any of the members who supposedly email you after two weeks, even a polite refusal, is a bit telling. It's interesting that most of the same profiles in your search criteria appear to be online no matter what time of day or night that you access the site.
What you will receive are lots of chat requests and fewer messages from members who will basically try to scam you. If, like me, you are a slightly older guy, you will receive numerous chat requests from members purporting to be in their 20's and early 30's. They will endeavour to lure you into signing up for other websites, forking out money for webcam shows or signing up for fake ID's. All will eventually try to chat to you via your offsite email, skype, yahoo messenger etc. (I don't know what it is about yahoo, it seems to be the vehicle of choice for this lot). Of course the scammers are easy to spot, but that's pretty much what you will get for your money. Many of the profile photos appear to be models. And if you chat to the scammers by your offsite email, don't download any of their (fake) photos; quite possibly they're from hackers and contain Trojans.
IWantU will attempt to get you to take up memberships with their 'sister' sites. You will need to fork out money to do this. A 3 day membership on passionmature.com brought the same bout of spammers (do you really belive that many twenty-something singles would be looking for someone on this website?). They will also try to transfer your profile to other websites in order to extract money and the only way to prevent them from doing so is again by emailing them.
The most treacherous part of all is the repeat billing system. When you realise that you've been had and try to cancel your account, it is nigh impossible to do it. At the final stage of cancellation you'll be asked to call a 1800 number or a number with the prefix +44 (code for the Isle of Mann!). The numbers will either not connect or will answer then disconnect. In the end I had to send threatening emails to them and after a few heated exchanges at my end they finally cancelled the repeat billing. I was about to cancel my credit card.
The site is relatively easy to navigate and the one on one chat is OK, but you will hardly ever find too many people in their chat rooms.
For anyone who is caught out in future, the operators of this site and its related sites are Enedina Ltd. If you do a domain search, you will discover that the owner of the domain name is one Thekla Christofi, 1 Katalanou Office 101, Aglantzia, 2121. Cyprus. There are 17 other domains owned by this organisation. They have an email dot.domainsonly@gmail.com which is associated with 116 other domains!
Be warned. Joining this website and leaving any personal details and photos on it will likely expose you to significant criminal activity; I am obviously concerned about having done so. I would strongly advise anyone considering joining this site to research it carefully and then avoid it at all costs. Having been bitten before, I'd advise this with any of the dating websites.
 In summary, I would not recommend IWantU to a friend.
